Last weekend, when casually strolling around Brussels, James & I stumbled across several celebrations for the Chinese New Year. It was a beautiful January day, clear blue skies and a crisp chill in the air. People lined Grand Place and the surrounding streets to watch the celebrations in all their glory.
This year, in particular, as in 1957, is the year of the Fire Rooster, who is according to my online research, trustworthy, observant and hardworking individuals. Sounds like some pretty great characteristics for any babies born this year.
I love that the Manneken Pis has a different outfit from that of last year – obviously – he can hardly be seen in the same outfit twice.

Told you it was a gorgeous day.

There was a magical spirit in the air.
It was rather the same last year, when I stumbled across the celebrations for the year of the monkey but this year, the celebrations were more spectacular – just like the Fire Rooster you may say.
Ahaha, this is so cool that they dress up the Manneken Pis! 😁
