Back to our trip in the British Virgin Islands. As I was saying, we loved the gorgeous beach and location of the Bitter End Yacht Club that we stayed the following day to enjoy ourselves even more.
Who wouldn’t want to stay here?
For James and I, that meant heading straight over to the beach to soak up the sun and be thoroughly entertained by a particularly excellent diving Pelican and his entourage.
We set up camp on a quiet patch of the beach and chilled.
Wearing my Seafolly Bikini (similar here), Topshop Sundress (similar here) and Accessorize hat (similar here). The dress and hat were purchased last year, but those links will take you to near-identical designs.
What more does one need after a day at the beach … and ice cream of course. Just as when in the U.S., the BVIs offer a range of American treats that we don’t get at home like this delight – an M&Ms Ice Cream Cookie – and yes, it was good, it was great.
After enjoying our ice cream, we wandered around Bitterend…
Before stopping for another snack. And what’s better than my favourite snack… Nachos.
In all their cheesy glory, I was so thrilled, I felt they deserved a snap. Honestly, I was not impressed with the meal that we had the night before at Bitterend, hence no post but these nachos, wow, they were good. Before you say, “it’s hard to muck-up nachos”, it’s not, I’ve come across many a bad nacho before.
We then headed back to the boat to enjoy the sunset.
This gorgeous sunset meant one thing – other than basking in its glory and taking a snap to remember it forever – sundowners and selfies.
Wearing a hand-me-down dress from my best friend Liv, who is quite the experienced sailor. Liv gave me the dress and explained, that everyone always needs something to throw-on quickly when on a boat, whether it’s too tackle the ropes or to run around with a roaming fender. She was right. Plus, as its strapless, it means no tan lines *YAY*.
